Pangea

In a remote village high in the mountains, Chesa, a young orphan raised by monks at the temple, has a gift: she can sense earthquakes before they happen. But suffering from Cassandra syndrome, she is accused by the superstitious villagers of being responsible for them. When a violent earthquake destroys the temple, she is forced into exile. She sets off to find her grandmother, a hermit living in the glaciers, hoping to understand the nature of her power. During her journey, Chesa discovers the true origin of the earthquakes: her father Wangyal is the leader of the Dark Teeth, a people who tirelessly dig the earth to extract a black mineral, Anthracite, which they devour directly. This addiction drives them to dig ever deeper, accelerating a catastrophic phenomenon that threatens to destroy the world: the Drift. Worse still, Wangyal seeks to enslave an ancient Golem to dig to the heart of the Earth. Chesa must learn to master her gift and find a way to stop the Golem before the destruction becomes irreversible.
