In the dark small town night, there is a hot dog stand at the crossroads. It might seem normal, but it has a unique business model. If a customer can guess the Vendor’s name, they get their food for free! However, if they fail, they have a high price to pay: their soul!
Tobbe is a young and hungover man who stumbles into the stand, and he thinks he sees something in the vendor that intrigues him. Spotting a loophole in the deals, he decides to take a gamble, winning him not only food and the vendors approval, but a job offer. As he returns to the stand to observe the business in action, we meet the customers, get to know their stories and why they are willing to risk their lives for a meal. We learn about their desperation for support and comfort. And what binds them all together is the vendor, who uses these people’s genuine attempts to reach out to manipulate and control them, all while keeping everyone at an arms length. Everyone, except Tobbe, who slowly starts to peel away at the grudging surface. But just like the other customers, his attempt to connect will eventually come at a price.
