Rancid Ranch is the only traditional candy farm left in Sugar Town. There, under the direction of Mr. Oldie, Gus and Cornelius do their best to forge ahead with a ruinous farm that is slowly falling apart. Even so, deplorable work conditions are not the only vexing foes for these farmers. Imperious, the head of the massive Candy Inc. and her next door neighbour, is determined to acquire Rancid Ranch, the only piece of land in the area she hasn't been able to buy. This has become an obsession for her and she will stop at nothing to get it. An old geezer of an owner and a couple of unfocused, idle work-hands are the only ones able to tackle the steamrolling force heading straight at them.
