Empowering creators with Sabam at Cartoon Business 2026

CARTOON is pleased to announce a new partnership with Sabam for Cartoon Business 2026.

Through this collaboration, CARTOON and the Belgian society of authors reaffirm their shared commitment to supporting creators and strengthening the animation ecosystem by investing in talent development, professionalization and industry connections.

Sabam represents and defends the rights of creators. The organisation manages copyrights for authors, composers and publishers in Belgium and abroad, ensuring that creators are fairly remunerated for the use of their works. It operates across a wide range of artistic disciplines, including audiovisual works, visual arts, literature, theatre, dance and music.

Beyond copyright management, the organisation actively invests in the future of creative industries through its cultural fund, which supports initiatives that help authors and creators develop their careers and strengthen their professional skills.

As part of this partnership, Sabam will take part in the Connections Hub during Cartoon Business 2026, offering young talents and animation professionals the opportunity to discover its services, exchange directly with its representatives and gain valuable insights into copyright, creators’ rights and career development.

The partnership also includes a preferential registration rate for Sabam members wishing to attend Cartoon Business 2026. To benefit from the reduced fee, members can use the code SAB746 and should contact Justine Cornet (justine.cornet@sabam.be). For any questions regarding Cartoon Business or registration, please contact Laura Jarka (laura.jarka@cartoon-media.eu).

Together, CARTOON and the Belgian society of authors are helping creators build sustainable careers and thrive in a rapidly evolving audiovisual landscape.

We are delighted to welcome Sabam to the Cartoon Business community and look forward to empowering creators together!
