Cartoon Business 2026 welcomes mediarte as Industry Partner

CARTOON is pleased to announce a new partnership with mediarte, which joins Cartoon Business 2026 as an Industry Partner.

As the Belgian Social Fund for the audiovisual, digital and film industries, mediarte works to support both professionals and companies throughout their careers and development. By promoting training, employability, well-being and inclusion, the organisation contributes to a dynamic and sustainable creative sector in Belgium.

The partnership reflects a shared vision of a strong and future-oriented audiovisual industry. While Cartoon Business brings together professionals to discuss the latest developments, challenges and opportunities shaping the animation business, the fund supports the people behind the industry by helping them build skills, navigate career paths and adapt to a rapidly changing professional environment.

Through its training programme, mediarte helps audiovisual and creative professionals strengthen their skills in financing, business development, negotiation and project management, while supporting the growth of their careers and projects. The upcoming 2026 programme includes:

  • September – Excel & Financing Plans (FR): learn how to structure, manage and optimise audiovisual financing plans using Excel.
  • October – Revenue Reporting & Accounting (FR): gain a better understanding of exploitation revenues and improve reporting and monitoring processes.
  • November – The Art of Negotiation (FR): develop practical negotiation skills for contracts, partnerships and business agreements.
  • December – The First Feature Film Lab (FR): explore script development, project refinement and pitching techniques for a first feature film.

Together, CARTOON and mediarte aim to encourage knowledge sharing, professional growth and greater access to opportunities for animation and audiovisual professionals.

As part of this collaboration, mediarte will support attendance at Cartoon Business 2026 by covering 50% of the accreditation fee for a limited number of its members. This initiative will make it easier for professionals to take part in the event and connect with key players from across the animation ecosystem.

Professionals interested in benefiting from this reduced registration fee are invited to contact Alizé Loumaye at alize.loumaye@mediarte.be for further information.

We are delighted to welcome mediarte to the Cartoon Business community and look forward to a fruitful collaboration in Brussels, from 24 to 26 November 2026!
