With is exceptional location in the heart of Vieux Lyon, in one of UNESCO world heritage site, the theme hotel Collège is housed in a building dating from the 1930s.
This hotel (“collège” means secondary school) pays tribute to our school day memories sitting on benches daydreaming as we stare at our geography maps. It took three years of searching through flea markets and visiting antique dealers to recreate this astonishing atmosphere, full of contrasts between inkwells and the latest in multimedia technology.
In the reception area, there is a wooden vaulting box dating from 1914, which used to be in the gymnasium of the Royal School of Versailles.
On each floor, there are blackboards with appealing quotes and rows of coat hangers that remind us of our school corridors.
