John is an award winning Producer and Director who began his career in feature film working at 20th Century Fox in the States. This was followed by a stint at MTV in New York where he spent two years as the lead character designer on a number of projects.

Being familiar with both pre and post production and with the technologies associated with both, John set up Jam Media in 2002 with two colleague friends.

Since then the studio has produced the award winning pre-school series “Picme” (104 X 5) with RTE, “Funky Fables” (26 x 11) with the BBC, the twice Bafta nominated “Roy” (52 x 28) which won the RTS Award for Best Children’s Drama in 2010, “Baby Jake” with Darrall Macqueen for CBeebies (52 x 11), “Tilly and Friends” with Walker Books and CBeebies. JAM’s brands have sold to over 90 territories and have been translated into in excess of 20 languages. JAM were also awarded the accolade of Producer of the Year at Cartoon Tributes in Toulouse this year. John holds a Masters in Multi-Media from Trinity College, Dublin.
