Julie is Managing Director of awol animation. Initially a Froebel trained Primary School teacher in Ireland, she later moved to Paris taking first steps in the TV business at Licensing & Merchandising company VIP Paris in 1993. She moved on to create Mediatoon’s International Distribution Department in 1995 where responsibilities also included acquisitions at in-house video label Citel. She left the group in 2000 to head up the International Distribution Department at Gaumont-Alphanim, Paris for four years before leaving to create awol animation in 2004. Still there! And proudly representing shows from European, Asian and US based award winning indie producers!

Julie is a Member of the CNC Innovation Fund Committee 2009 and she also served as a pre-selection jury member at Annecy International Animation Film Festival’s 2009 Edition.
