Carla Engelbrecht Fisher, Ed.D., is a game designer with a research obsession and the founder of No Crusts Interactive. Her work blends progressive educational philosophies, innovative game mechanics, and children’s curricular needs to create engaging interactive entertainment. Under her direction, No Crusts is incubating several indie projects, including Williamspurrrrg, which will be available on iPad in Summer 2013, and has designed multiple client-based projects, including Sesame Street: Elmo’s Musical Monsterpiece and Sesame Street: Ready, Set, Grover (Nintendo Wii and DS), and Monster Math: Little Wall-y Ball-y Ball (iPad). Dr. Fisher is recognized internationally for her writing and speaking about best practices for children’s games, including for Kids Got Game on Kidscreen.com and Random House Parents. She holds a doctorate in instructional technology from Teachers College, Columbia University, and a master's degree in media studies from the New School University and has, on occasion, been known to twist balloon animals and hats.
