Producers wishing to submit a new European animation project for the Magyar Cartoon Forum must submit one copy of Dossier A + Dossier B by express courier
(at the expense of the sender) by 28 April 2010 to:

Incomplete files will not be considered.
Dossier A - The producer File
The Producer File must be:
- drawn up in English only
- no more than 30 pages in total
- printed and bound
- accompanied by a CD-Rom with the synopsis and 2 stills
Note: if a contract or official paper is in another language than English, you may include only the first and the last page of it, and add a short summary in English containing the most relevant information (names of the contracting parties, purpose and length of the agreement, etc.).
You can do the same if the contract or official paper contains too many pages.
The Producer File must contain:
- the Producer File form, entirely filled out
- the concept of the project (maximum 2 pages, in English)
- the storylines (extensive description of the story): maximum 3 pages, in English
- the synopsis for publication in the catalogue (short summary of the story): maximum 350 characters including spaces, in English, Word document
(to provide on paper AND on CD-Rom)
- two stills for the catalogue: high definition (300 DPI), JPEG or TIFF, min. 15 cm for the shortest side of the still (to provide on CD-Rom)
- a description of the characters (maximum 2 pages, in English)
- artwork (a minimum of 5 pages and a maximum of 10 pages, including at least 5 images of the project (with backgrounds) + illustrations of the main characters)
- a copy of the transfer of rights option letter
- justification that the project fulfils the European quota of 14 out of 21 points, based on the chart in the Conditions for admission
- copies of the European cooperation partnership letters (see our Conditions for admission)
- a copy of the sponsorship letter (see our our Conditions for admission)
- your agreement for the promotional use of your trailer (Croissant or Coffee Show) for the editing of a Cartoon Forum DVD and your agreement for the use of your illustrations in the catalogue or other promotional publications.
Dossier B: The storyboard or script
The Dossier B must contain the storyboard or the script in dialogue form of one or more episodes and totalling at least 26 minutes.
- It may be submitted in its original language
- This document must be printed and bound
THE FINAL PRODUCER FILE

Only for the 60 accepted projects
Only those producers whose project has been accepted by CARTOON may then send: 1 single PDF document of Dossier A (the Producer File – English only) without the storyboard or the script in dialogue form.
This PDF should be sent via online file sending sites (www.yousendit.com) or via your own ftp to: info@cartoon-media.eu
CARTOON will send the Producer Files of the selected projects to all television channels, video distributors and financial partners taking part in the Cartoon Forum in order to evaluate their interest in the projects.
